What's My Story?

I love learning and helping others.  Perhaps this is the reason I have spent over 35 years in the field of education as a teacher, professor, therapist, and author.

Like most of you, my life is imperfect and has taken many twists and turns.  I think the analogy that life is like a rollercoaster is so true.  Enjoying the ride can sometimes be difficult at times, can’t it?

Throughout all my experiences and research, I have discovered the power of storytelling and the role it plays in all of our lives.  If you stop and think about it, no one but you have the life story that you do.  You are the main character in your own story.  Aside from that, you are also the narrator of your story, sharing what you believe about your self and story with others.  What many of us do not realize, however, is that we are also the authors of our story and at any time, we have the potential and the power to rewrite our story if we choose.  Figuring out to do this has been the recent focus of my work.
